A Large Late 18th Early/ 19th Century Oak Serving Table of Gothic Design

This, I have to say, is one of my favourites. It certainly does have a presence.

The colour of the timber is one that lacks nutrition, it has not been waxed or touched for many, many, many years. The corner blocks at the top of the legs and the front have a sort of dog tooth decoration with a small trefoil in each corner. 

The chamfering on the corners of the legs, and the quite crude blocking on the feet, just add character to this fantastic looking table.
